The pattern is knitted from the bottom up, starting with the pleated section, which is worked back and forth to form the stripes. The upper section is worked in the round up to the armholes. The fronts and backs are worked separately and joined at the end with grafting. The main pattern is in Jersey, and the bottom edge, armholes, and necklines are in garter stitch.<\/div>\n
