Hellebore is knitted top-down. Start in the middle of the long side and increase with yarn overs of 4 stitches every other row. When the main part has reached the desired size, knit the openwork border in garter stitch, casting off the shawl stitches. Cable cast-on. Left-slanted decreases (GGGT), right-slanted decreases, and double left-slanted decreases (GGGT). Double yarn over.
